New Ross, July 28—This morning as James Patterson, who lives three miles northwest of here, was driving a team into his granary, he was crushed between the load of wheat and an overhead beam. He fell to the floor and was picked up for dead. Dr. King was called and as yet no further report has been received, but it is thought that the accident will prove fatal if it has not already done so. -s

James Patterson, of New Ross vicinity so horribly crushed on his wagon when driving in a shed, is still alive and not dead as reported. His spine is crushed and he can never be a well man again,  his extremities being paralyzed. - kbz
